AYA’s success grows from philanthropic giving, both in time and gifts, that enables AYA to provide the best possible environment and education for our students. Our community’s commitment and support allows us to fulfill our mission as we strive to advance the Kingdom of God. Volunteering at AYA has a lasting impact on those that choose to serve as well as on the students with whom they are working.

Volunteers are exposed to children from various cultural and/or socio-economic backgrounds. The result is a broader understanding and new respect for the deserving children of our inner city. See the various ways in which you can begin to get involved at AYA!

“I always leave AYA after volunteering in the after school program having learned something new. The students’ excitement is encouraging, and I love hearing about their interests inside and outside of the normal school hours.”

“Mentoring is one of the most rewarding opportunities I’ve experienced in our community. Visiting Efrem on a monthly basis awards me valuable lessons and a chance to pour into him; from homework help to a little life advice.”
