After School Care is available from the end of the regular school day (2:30 p.m. for Pre-K—fifth grade, 3:00 p.m. for sixth—eighth grade) until 5:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. With a ratio of approximately 16:1, staff members in AYA’s After Care Program work closely with students and are able to support them in academics as well as social and emotional growth.

Every day, an hour is dedicated to homework and a hearty snack is provided. Year round choir programming and sports teams that rotate based on the season also take place during the after-school hours. Students are grouped by grade range to foster enhanced social and emotional development as they participate in an assortment of fun and competitive extracurricular activities as well as arts & crafts, and organized games.

“I always leave AYA after volunteering in the after school program having learned something new. The students’ excitement is encouraging, and I love hearing about their interests inside and outside of the normal school hours.”
